Axe, Hammer, & Rune is now done and available for use with Risus, or really any fantasy rule system since Risus is so light.
AHR represents a severe condensation of about 40+ pages written originally for use with d20, and then later D6, but over all I am pleased because in doing so, it went from a rather generic setting to a nice tight focused setting. In fact, it's my first setting where instead of having to determine what to write for 8 pages, I had to determine what I was going to cut for 8 pages.
Unlike other settings which say, "Here is the world, here are the character possibilities, have fun!", AHR has a very limited focus and direction. This was partly inspired by the original premise (seven dungeon crawls on par with Moria) running up against the limit of 8 pages while at the same time reading War by Sebastian Junger. It had a profound effect on me, and I wanted to capture some of that remote conflict and guerilla warfare feel.
As I have already covered the rune magic in another post, I shall not go into again. At any rate, I hope you enjoy.
Thanks!

Very, very cool. Once again, you've imagined a setting that I can totally see myself using.
Thanks (and thanks for the plug on your blog)!
I doubt the next setting (Darby's Heroes) will receive such glowing praise, but we'll see.
Thanks again!
